differentiated instruction

Use this list of blogs to find something that your can critique.
Blogging has become a way for educators and others to share their ideas and knowledge.  But I am not sure that all blogs are created equally.  We need to not only evaluate the blog posts that we put out into the blogosphere but we need to evaluate the blogs that we spend time reading.  At present I read about 30 different blogs.  It takes a considerable amount of time each day.  Therefore, I do not add any to my list that I do not feel will add to my personal conversation.  My goal is to create a blog that shares with you tools for this class but I also know that I need to do more than just post the resource.  So today I am editing all of my posts to try to create a better blog.

keepvid tutorial

Free online screencasting tool
I created this screen cast for a friend of mine.  It is not great and I need practice doing this.  I definitely think that students could learn by doing this and I know that they could use tutorials from their teachers that would help them.  Math students can always use tutorials as well as students in other subjects.

comics in the classroom

This is a fantastic list of tools and resources that shows how comics could be used by both teachers and students in the classroom.  I think not only creating comics on a variety of topics would interest students but that emerging readers and/or unengaged students would find these tools fun, interesting, and helpful. It would take time for a teacher to create a library of comics but just like anything they create they would build a library over the years.

Power Point games

How to create power point games.  Students like to play games for review.  Not only could the teacher create games but students could create games as well.
