comics in the classroom

This is a fantastic list of tools and resources that shows how comics could be used by both teachers and students in the classroom.  I think not only creating comics on a variety of topics would interest students but that emerging readers and/or unengaged students would find these tools fun, interesting, and helpful. It would take time for a teacher to create a library of comics but just like anything they create they would build a library over the years.

How to create power point games.  Students like to play games for review.  Not only could the teacher create games but students could create games as well.

Here is my attempt at goanimate.  I like this tool and I hope to be able to use in the classroom this year.

I know that students would like it and that the process of creating a cartoon about science content would implant the content into their minds a little more firmly.
